Crafting & Harvesting
How CRAFT-y are You?
When Commoners reach level 7, they can go back to the Job Broker to receive the qualification for Alchemy 101 missions. The task-master, Worker No.1, will give the player a trial coupon that can be redeemed at any temple in town, good for a free stick of incense, which is used with the "Meditation" skill to collect red fragments. After players have acquired red fragments, Worker No.1 will ask them to take the fragments they have collected to the Ironmonger's Shop for refinement, since harvested materials must be refined before they can be used as basic alchemy materials.
When players bring the refined red powder back to Worker No.1, he will give them the recipe for "Junior Vitamin Pill," which takes one red powder and uses it to create a medicinal pill that restores a little HP. Now, you must successfully create a Junior Vitamin Pill and show it to Worker No.1 to complete this quest. Once the quest has been completed, you will be given the option to enroll in "Alchemy Camp," a two-part mission. For the first part, Worker No.1 asks you to get all the recipes from the blue pots scattered across Eversun City (there are 10 pots in all). Once this step has been completed, he will ask you to successfully craft one item from each recipe. Do so, and have them in your inventory, and you will complete the "Alchemy Camp" quest.

In the real world, products and goods are made from raw materials, and this applies to the Mirror World as well. In the game world, equipment and items can be created from combinations of 7 basic categories of raw materials. Players can acquire items by killing monsters, but the other six categories can generally only be acquired by harvesting them with the Commoner's collection skills. These skills are Meditation, Farming, Fishing, Herding, Mining, and Forestry. When players enter the collection areas, the icon for the material that can be gathered will show up on the left edge of the screen, just above the chatbox. Clicking the icon will allow a player to choose the appropriate tools for collecting the material available in each area. After the raw materials have been refined, they are ready to be used as ingredients for alchemy.
As players gain some experience with alchemy by finding recipes and crafting items, they'll develop a good working knowledge of what types of items require what materials. However, it should also be noted that crafting weapons and armor usually requires more than one type of harvested material, as well as 2 or 3 additional items as ingredients, depending on the item and its level. Collecting all the ingredients on one's own may take up quite a bit of time, so it's recommended that players swap materials with each other, or buy and sell their materials in stalls, so that all players' strengths in collecting are combined. If nothing else, it'll save everyone involved a lot of time.
